Reginald Canal is President of the Fortis Lux Sports & Entertainment Division. As a leader at the forefront of his field, he is empowering professional athletes and entertainers to develop effective financial strategies in their personal and business lives. Under his bold leadership, the Sports & Entertainment Division has defied the expectations of what a world-class client service model can be. He is a shining example of an individual with a perseverant, positive attitude that steadily works to achieve his goals. Prior to Fortis Lux, Reginald excelled in a variety of roles at HSBC over a 15 year banking career including: a two-year overseas assignment with HSBC’s Consulting Group in Hong Kong, managed HSBC’s New York City flagship Premier Affluent Center to record sales results and started the Affluent African American Segment targeting High Net Worth Individuals and Commercial Clients. Reginald is a passionate advocate for inclusion and diversity in his community. He is a lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association. Reginald is Trustee for Miss Halls (All Girls Boarding School); a founding board member of the Haitian Roundtable; member of the Board of Directors of Valley Arts; and the Multicultural Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Reginald holds a Bachelors of Arts in French and a Master in Business Administration in International Business from Binghamton University.

As a clinical psychologist and personal trainer for the brain, I empower individuals to achieve wellness and personal growth by leveraging solution-focused strategies and skills. As President and Co-founder of Ayiti Community Trust, I am dedicated to creating sustainable pathways for development and advancing community well-being in Haiti. Learn more at Ayiti Community Trust. I completed my pre-doctoral training at Columbia University Medical Center and my postdoctoral training at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University, Department of Child Psychiatry. As a multicultural (Haitian-American) and multilingual psychologist fluent in Haitian Kreyol, Spanish, and French, my work is deeply informed by my diverse heritage and professional expertise. My research focuses on the intersection of race, culture, and well-being for ethnically diverse and immigrant communities, with a special focus on Haitians . I have authored numerous books, articles, and book chapters and delivered invited presentations at national and international conferences. My work covers topics such as racism and culture, implicit bias, women’s issues, depression and intervention among Haitians, social support networks of ethnic minorities, and spirituality. Strategic Initiatives Leader at National Black Empowerment Council

Born in Port-au Prince, Haiti of Cuban, and Haitian parents, Her Royal Majesty Sêmévo 1st, is the Queen Mother of the African Diaspora, Bénin Republic. In 2022, she was enthroned at the Royal Palace of Agonlin, and adhered to the Haut Conseil des Rois du Bénin/HCRB (High Council of Kings of Benin). Her Majesty serves as HCRB’s Ambassador-at-Large. The Queen Mother is also a member of the Forum of Sovereigns and Traditional Leaders of Africa (Forum des Souverains et Leaders Traditionnelle d”Afrique). Largely recognized as HRM Queen Mother Dr. Dòwòti Désir, she is the Founder of the, Imperial Corps Agoodjié of the African Diaspora, an educational and leadership program which connects women of the African Diaspora to their sisters in Africa via online classes and a pilgrimage to Bénin Republic. Her Majesty is the National Secretary in charge of the Diaspora, of the Organisation des Intellectuels Traditionnels du Bénin/ORITRAB). Based in West Africa, in the City of Cotonou, she is also in residence in the State of New York, where she is a faculty member of Dutchess Community College. Currently, Her Majesty instructs underserved youth in the Mid-Hudson Valley of New York State. The Queen Mother has been a consultant to, Purchase College, State University of New York Global Strategies and International Programs, Office for Global Education for their, Fulbright-Hays Fellowship. She instructed and advised incoming fellows engaged in the curriculum development project planned for Bénin Republic for summer 2023. She recently received a 2024 Black Divas Award for her advocacy of Black maternal healthcare.
